Talent, mentorship and compelling storytelling lie at the heart of both NEWF and Jackson Wild.
The 2025 Jackson Wild Summit and Media Awards drew on the strength of collaboration and celebrated the strides taken for nature, wildlife and the voices that amplify custodianship.
Set against the vastness of Jackson Hole - a valley between the Gros Ventre and Teton mountain ranges in Wyoming - two moving, deeply rooted African stories supported by NEWF featured as nominees in the Conservation Short Form and Global Voices categories.
NEWF ululates debut of ‘Wild Hope - Rhino Ops’, a significant milestone for African filmmaking and community-led conservation
An exciting coproduction between Nature, Environment and Wildlife Filmmakers (NEWF) and HHMI Tangled Bank Studios, ‘Wild Hope: Rhino Ops’ - a compelling film showcasing the park’s largest rhino horn programme to date - has come to life with the support of Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife.
“This film, an African production being featured on a global platform, is a testament to our mission; to offer a platform where African conservationists and filmmakers can create stories that echo across the world,” says Noel Kok, Co-Founder and Executive Director of NEWF.
